Getting to Shelter Cove Lodge

No matter where you're coming from, the only way to Alaska is through the Seattle Airport. Alaska Airlines is the only carrier that flys into Ketchikan (KTN). From Ketchikan, we use Island Air Express to get to Prince of Wales Island.

When booking flights to Ketchikan and back, be sure to arrive in Ketchikan before 5:30pm and depart Ketchikan no earlier than10:00am. Scheduling outside this reccomendation may cause missed flights.

Dave and Stacie will help schedule the Alaska Seaplanes flight. Shelter Cove works directly with Alaska Seaplanes to get our guests the best schedule possible. Please do not book your Alaska Seaplanes tickets throught their website.

We prefer to work closly with you during this process to ensure the best travel experience possible. Getting stuck or missing flights in our area can become extremely challenging. This is a busy time of year in Alaska and finding last minute accomidations may not be possible. Upon departure, remember that traveling with fish boxes takes planning. Please ask questions as they arrise.
